Now Something Sweet!

So, a few things I know for sure...
1. I am by no means a writer (just so you bear with me!)
2. I have a creative eye that works well with my creative hand  
3. I have quite a tremendous sweet tooth (that is being put to work!)
Put that together and now I somehow have a growing business of sorts.....cake orders are coming in and so are the photography ones!!  What to do.....I always said I wanted to be busy with my own creations...and now I hope it never stops!!  It seems the path to people's taste buds is in small steps and small cakes with BIG flavors so I gladly will indulge!  I find that one of my biggest hits is the mini vanilla cake with a 3 citrus zested cream cheese frosting topped with the most lucious of Blackberries....I am on a constant search for new and innovative flavors, of course all natural, if possible organic, and upon request allergen free.

It really feels amazing and so rewarding, to send my creations out into the world and have such positive feedback.  As many of my friends and family know this has been an ongoing growth process on my part.  

I know success is for sure not an overnight event...sure I wish it was....but I persevere and one day my children will benefit from this long struggle....hey at least I know they are fed well and have plenty of photographic memories!!

Eat cakes.....my cakes!!

I have been baking for years, another creative outlet for me!  Well it is now taking on a life of it's own, I have discovered the art of fondant!  I love it, creating all the little figures now instead of clay, sugar!  I could sit for hours making the characters just now working on perfecting it.  Sugar is a bit different than clay often not so forgiving and hardens way too fast!  Well so far so good, now to work on my actual cakes, which I would like to make mostly allergen free.  So many children & adults have terrible allergies and want the beautiful & delicious cakes too....so I will make them dEEdEElicious!! Check out my creation from this Thanksgiving as my kids said a Turkey w/ a Cause!

Well he is my first sitting atop a chocolate chocolate chip (egg free, nut free) dream with a vanilla cream filling and dark & milk chocolate frosting!  Well check back with me in a bit I will be writing about my cake creating experiences..............this should be fun!

Home for an idea....

My brain for so long has been spinning with so many great ideas, so many great beginnings that have unfortunately ended up filed away.  They occasionally wander out make their appearance and wait to come to fruition....but life and funding all too often shove them back into their file prison.  Well finally they may be able to all come out to play for good.  All my ideas have been of a creative nature, be it art, photography, writing or design.  Never have I had a true place for them all to come together and be productive....well the time has come the ideas have a home....a lifetime in the making a moment of creation...a SPARK!  I have a children's story book coming to completion and a place for all my creativity...and this I will share when it is finalized.  Oh I can't wait...the creativity that has run through my family, shared by many may now finally be shared again through me....though it has taken long enough!  I have grown tired & frustrated at sharing my work for free.......free from me is over!!  The SPARK has been ingnited........to be continued

I just wanted to share a great site on Etsy....Crash and Carry...where if you are like me & love unique & beautiful....here you will find it!  I love the collection of vintage fabrics you can find, but my favorite is the gorgeous plush doxies made out of some of those beautiful vintage fabrics!!  These are a must on my Dee-Deelicious list of fabulous favorite things!!

Remembering...now a new match awaits!

I remember playing chess with my Father using these pieces. He brought these with him from Hungary, they've seen many matches with him and his friends & for sure have heard many a great story or two. The board they originated on didn't survive as well and recently needed replacing, now as good as the first maybe better. The red team also lost a pawn, I think it lost a battle with our Vizsla "Snoopy" way back in my childhood. Now passed on to my boys it sits awaiting weekend battles with their Granfather who is sharing a great story or two with them!

Most Amazing Cupcakes....I haven't eaten yet!

Can it be possible, a simple cupcake can have so much charisma, charm, & an aura that it can come alive!? Dancing before you, calling out your name, causing you to hear the birds chirping so crisply around you. This darned cupcake has done just that, it peaked my curiosity from the baker's shelf. I brought it home, everyone got to it's glory, they oohed & aahed, they melted before my eyes. I wanted one, did I get one, NO!! I bought more of these glorious things, one followed me to work, I gave it to my dear friend to enjoy before myself. Well I watched her enjoy some mystical pleasure, lost her to it for an amazing 15 minutes......now that's it this Key Lime Cheesecake Treasure is now mine...my coffee is prepped & ready, my plate ready....here I go....mmmmmmhmmmmmmm...we'll talk later!!

The "Muchness"

Fabulous, fearless, mysterious, striking & strange.......Alice had it, the Cheshire Cat had it, you have it! It is a quality hidden in most often needing coaxing..but it is there. Sadly many never let it out, it then withers & fades never to be had again. I love my "muchness" I embrace it, when it's out watch out! It does have it's quiet moments, though I feel too many of them! So go find your "muchness" enjoy it, share it.......live in harmony with it! It is what it is...absolute :)

Friendships.....

Friends & family sometimes one & the same, other times quite different.  Most of the time quite different,  family is always there for you no matter who you are, what you have or what you do.  Friends may be around but usually not often deep down inside for the really hard stuff.  Perception is key....as children often the friends are most important, the value on them is enormous.  Yet as adults we learn the value has often been misplaced.  In the end care is to be used in the choice & loving of friends & simply love & appreciate family no matter what it is made up of or how disfunctional it may seem.

The state of our humanity.........

One simple word I find to describe the majority is.......SELFISH......& don't deny it!  Everyone wants the bigger, the better of everything.  Yes it is a good thing in the beginning driving ambitions, creativity, etc. there wouldn't be the greatness we have if these things didn't exist.  Yet at some point it turns, & turns so ugly into greed, envy & selfishness.  So many people from celebrities to the businessmen have above & beyond what is needed to live a comfortable life, ooooh & they are so applauded for their tremendous contributions usually amounting to less than 10% of their worth.  Who puts this ridiculous value, of $20,000,000.00 on one actor for one movie & $10.00 an hour on a teacher who could be teaching the future actor or even the future President.  Someone who places the value of their car over the well being of a 7 year old who crashed accidentally into his parked car.......or people who feel money & material objects simply make them above others.....our society just has a warped sense of value.  People & who they are inside & what they share from their hearts is what truly matters @ least in my opinion...........

It's one of those days where you feel like you can take on the world, that you are bigger & stronger than anything you are put up against!  Then you find out it is all just your own mental deception.  So what now, let it shrink you, crawl back & hide in a hole, let the big bad world get you.  NO you don't, you stand strong take it all on, for it is what it is, & you are who you believe you are, the world is there for you, so enjoy it in all its good & bad, live it fully, LIFE!
